2024 Wendell H. Ford Public Policy Lecture features Douglas Brinkley
The Martin School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Kentucky hosted the 2024 Wendell H. Ford Public Policy Lecture alongside their co-hosts, UK Libraries and the College of Communication and Information. This year's lecture featured Presidential historian Douglas Brinkley who discussed topics focused around the theme "Reflections on the 2024 Presidential Election."

Students Volunteer for Veterans
In honor of Veterans Day, on Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, University of Kentucky students gathered at Gatton Student Center to create and write cards that would be given to veterans. This was a way for students to give back to those who served for our country.

UK YAF Hosts Speaker Paula Scanlan
UK’s chapter of Young Americans for Freedom group hosted Paula Scanlan, former University of Pennsylvania swimmer, to discuss the topic of transgender women in women’s sports.
The event was described as an “opportunity to hear from a passionate advocate for fair competition in sports.” The event drew a wide variety of students. For some, they were eager to hear Scanlan speak, others protested the event.

New UK SGA caucus addresses safety concerns
The University of Kentucky Student Government Association (SGA) formed the new Wildcat Safety Alliance Caucus as a way to involve every student in campus safety discussions. The caucus is aimed at bringing advocacy, prevention and education to the discussion when talking about campus safety.
